Paper.io 2 is a multiplayer game. Compete against other players in real-time and try to seize as much space in the arena as possible. Steal territory from your opponents and paint everything your color.

How to Play Paper.io 2

In this .io game, your goal is to capture as much of the arena as you can. Every time you exit your safe zone, your character will leave behind a trail of paint. Once you reenter your zone, all of the ground captured within the loop you’ve drawn will turn to your color and become part of your territory.

However, as long as you are outside your own territory and your tail is exposed, you are vulnerable to attacks from other players. If a player crossed through your tail, you’ll be killed. You’ll lose all of your territory, and will have to start over.

Paper.io 2 Strategy: Tips and Tricks

Roaming far outside your safe zone might expand your territory quickly, but only if you get away with it. Most of the time, being too greedy doesn’t end well, because you’ll be very vulnerable to attacks. Be cautious: stay close to your territory and duck in and out regularly to reduce the risk of being cut off.

Nibble away at other players’ territories when they’re not in sight. If you see a player with a long trail, use the opportunity to swoop in and cut them off. That way they’ll lose all of their territory in one blow. Their ranking on the leaderboard will drop all the way down, leaving room for you to climb higher!

If possible, move around the edges of the area. This will give you more cover as you stealthily make your way around the arena and add more ground to your territory. It is possible to reach 100% possession, but it won’t be easy.
