Mahjong Shanghai Dynasty is a classic mahjong game featuring the 144 Chinese mahjong tiles. This is a single-level game featuring the Turtle-layout. There is no way to shuffle the tiles or undo moves, so try not to make any mistakes, or you’ll have to start over again.

How do you play Mahjong Shanghai Dynasty?

In this puzzle game, you have two gameplay options: Shanghai or Kids. The Shanghai deck features the full set of mahjong tiles, while the Kid's version offers a smaller tile arrangement that’s easier to complete.

Search for the playable tiles and match them up to form identical pairs. Tiles can only be selected when they are free on either the right or left side, or both. In addition, playable tiles cannot be wholly or partially covered by any other tiles.

The tiles featuring the suits (bamboos, circles, and Chinese numbers) must all be matched with an identical tile to make a meld. The same goes for the honours tiles (the winds and the dragons). The only exceptions are the seasons and flowers bonus tiles. These do not have doubles to pair up and can therefore be matched with any tile from the corresponding set.
