How to play Impostor

Impostor is a simplified version of the internet hit Among Us. In the original game, you will either be assigned the role of Crewmate or Impostor. If you’re a Crewmate, your task is to keep the space mission going, repair any damage to the ship, and detect the saboteur. If you’re an Impostor, you must sabotage the ship and kill any Crewmates who come close to identifying you. Impostors who are caught will be killed or ejected from the ship.

Being the alien impostor is what many players find the most fun part of Among Us, but when you play, the roles are assigned randomly and there are only few Impostors in the game. That’s why it’s more common to be a Crewmate. Using your detection skills and the power of deduction is fun, but if you like being the Impostor best, this is the game for you. In this free version, you’re always the Impostor!

Alien Impostor: Avoid Being Detected

Move around the ship and complete tasks to sabotage the ship and derail the space mission. At the start of each round, the Crewmates will sprint away to complete their tasks. Pretend to be one of them. However, instead of repairing the ship, you must sabotage it. Keep an eye on the tasks bar. It’s your job to sabotage the mission, so keep this bar from filling up completely.

Break the machinery and the Oxygen generator, and kill the true Crewmates before they can complete their tasks. Be sure to do all of this without being found out. If a body is found and the death is reported while you’re nearby, you’ll look very suspicious. Try to look busy making repairs or hide in the air vents to avoid being seen.
