Elite Chess is the ultimate game for chess fans. In this game, you play many rounds of chess. There are a couple of modes to choose from, which all give you a different and fun experience of chess. Some modes have a lot of time, where you can think about your moves. But other modes in this thinking game play like Speed Chess, where you have a very low amount of time to work with. Find out what mode you like best, and become the king of chess! 

How does chess work?

For those who don’t know how chess works, we got you. There are two players, one plays with the black pieces and the other with white. The one piece you need to defend is the king. The goal is to capture the other person’s king, by putting pieces in its path so it has nowhere to move anywhere on the board. What makes this board game so fun, is that there is a lot of thought and strategy involved.

The 8 pawns at the front of your army move only 1 tile at a time, forward. They can attack other pieces sideways. The two rooks on the ends move in vertical or horizontal lines, as far as they want. The horses move in an L shape. The bishops move diagonally, and the queen moves either diagonally or vertically/horizontally. Finally, your king can move to one of the 8 spaces directly next to it, wherever they want. 

Every player moves one piece per turn. White always starts, and every game you are either white or black. Win by putting the king of your enemy in a checkmate. When you win, you earn points to boost you up the leaderboards. And when you lose, you lose points.

The gameplay of Elite Chess

Before playing, you choose one of the modes in the menu. Each mode has a different timer, which gives you many different playing experiences. You have matches of one minute, three minutes, 5 minutes, even 10 and 12 minutes. Try out each mode, and see if you can win!
