Scala 40
Get ready for a super fun card game! You match the cards in your hand, and you try to get rid of your cards first before your opponent does. Do this by matching the cards by suit, or by the same number/icon. Make sure you win against your opponents by losing all you cards!
The gameplay of Scala 40
Scala 40, or also known as Scala Quaranta, is a very popular card matching game where you try to get rid of your cards. You get 13 cards in your hand at the start of the game. You can either sort them by number or by suit.
Each round, you have 2 options. Pick a card from the reserve pile, or the top card of the discard pile. The top card is open, while the card of the reserve pile is closed. After that, you try to find matches to place them on the board. Different matches are possible, but they need to be at least 3 big. You can do similar suits in a row, for example a 2-3-4-5 combination of hearts. Or you do 3 or more of the same card, so 3 Kings for example.
The first move that you make, must total up to at least 40 points on the board. So pick the rights cards, and get those first points. You can also add cards later to already made combinations on the board, like Rummikub!
When you play your final card, your opponents will receive points based on the total value of cards in their hand. When an opponent reaches 101, they lose. Find out how many rounds that takes! Have fun in Scala 40.
