						Spider Solitaire
Spider Solitaire is a classic card game from the late 1940s. You can play Spider with one, two, or four suits. Sort the cards in descending order and try to match them by suit. Completed suits will vanish from the tableau. Can you clear away all of the cards?
How do you play Spider Solitaire?
In this solitaire game, ten rows of cards make up the tableau. The top card is placed on the table face up, all the other cards are turned face down. The objective is to clear all the cards from the table.
How do you move cards in Spider Solitaire?
The player can move the cards by tapping or clicking to select them. Drag the card to another column to stack it on top. The cards must be stacked in descending order (from high to low), starting with the King and ending with the Ace. You cannot skip any numbers!
To stack the cards on top of each other, only the number matters - you can mix up all of the suits. This means that you can make sequences such as six of diamonds - five of hearts - four of spades. Unlike Klondike Solitaire, you don’t have to alternate between the red and black suits.
If possible, however, it’s best to stack the cards by suit. You can pick up multiple cards in one go, as long as the suit matches and the number sequence is complete. So you can pick up a set of 6 - 5 - 4 all diamonds by tapping on the six and dragging the stack to a seven of any suit (preferably diamonds, if available).
How do you clear the cards in Spider Solitaire?
The suit is also important when it comes to clearing the cards. Only a complete suit stacked in the right order can be removed from the tableau. Completed suits will vanish automatically the moment you add the last card(s).
How do you draw new cards in Spider Solitaire?
There are 54 cards in the tableau at the start of the game. The remaining 50 cards make up the spare cards stack. Once you run out of moves, you can tap on this stack to deal a new row of ten cards. One new card will cover the top card of each column.
You cannot deal new cards if any of the ten columns is empty. In some version of Spider, you can only place a king in an empty slot. In this game, however, you are allowed to use any card. Please note that you can’t undo any moves in this game, so look carefully before you act!
