Mahjong Dark Dimension

Mahjong Dark Dimensions is a challenging 3D board game in which you have to match the identical pairs of tiles and clear them away. Grab the cluster of blocks in the middle of the screen and spin it around to look for tiles you can combine in this occult-themed version of Arkadium’s Mahjong Dimensions.   

How do you play Mahjong Dark Dimensions?

Combine two identical cube-shaped tiles to clear them from the board. Note, however, that you can’t pick any tiles that are boxed in along their right and/or left sides. You’ll have to remove the other tiles that are blocking them first. The goal is to clear away all the mahjong tiles before the time on the clock  runs out. The timer is displayed in the top left corner. 

Although this mahjong game has the same basic rules as ordinary 2D mahjong solitaire, the feel and experience is entirely different due to the 3D design. Unlike 2D mahjong boards, you can click and swipe to rotate the hovering cluster of tiles and view it from all sides. Spin it around to search for icons you can select and match.

You can boost your total score by earning multi-match bonus points and speed multipliers. Score huge boosters for making uninterrupted sequences of tile combinations (called ‘melds’ in mahjong) and keeping up the speed with which you make one meld after the other.

How to earn bonus time in Mahjong Dark Dimensions?

Earning additional time is an important part of this game. When you begin, you’ll only have two minutes to get through as many levels as possible. When you complete a level, the clock keeps running. However, during the game, you can add precious seconds and even whole minutes to the timer by unlocking and combining the purple bonus tiles.

These purple tiles have a timer on them, and the seconds are ticking down. You’ll receive the extra time displayed on the tiles the moment you match them, so the quicker you manage to reach these tiles the more extra time you’ll be able to add to the clock.

Can you get even more time in Mahjong Dark Dimensions?

Yes, you can. This 3D mahjong challenge is not an easy game to complete. If you find that you’re constantly running out of time on the clock, try our slowed-down version, Mahjong Dark Dimensions: 210 Seconds. You’ll have three-and-a-half minutes instead of two to finish the puzzles.

If the clock is still running out too fast and you want to extend your playing time, try Mahjong Dark Dimensions: Triple Time. In this version, you’ll start with a whole six minutes - three times as much time as in the original game - to finish the puzzles.
